Re-Evolution Reveals New Play-to-Earn Gameplay Mechanics
The Re-Evolution team has announced innovative plans for the mechanics of its play-to-earn game, where players will be the Supreme Rulers of their very own planets.
Access to the transformational game will be exclusively available to 5,000 lucky Re-Evolution Planet NFT holders. The aim of the game is to maintain a strong happiness factor within the population. Players will be able to explore their whole planet and plan their strategy for how they will exercise their duties as Supreme Rulers. Progress that is made in the game will be linked to the Planet NFTs, optimising the potential for the value of the NFTs to increase with in-game progression.
Re-Evolution Planet NFT holders will benefit from an initial airdrop of the $REV token to get them started in the game. Holders will be allowed to acquire $REV tokens which can be used to purchase progressively unlocked upgrades in the game. Some upgrades may provide instant direct benefits to revenue, such as a factory. However, these upgrades may also come with long term downsides, such as pollution. Players will need to balance this with upgrades for longer term benefits, such as planting a forest.
Players will be encouraged to respect their planet’s environment, so some upgrades will be conditional. For example, in order to build a housing complex, gamers must first have cultivated enough trees. Upgrades will also open the door to new and exciting game features, for example, player-versus-player mechanics enabling species to space-travel to other players’ planets.
In the beginning, players will need to get their planet into a habitable state before they can develop civilisations. As a player’s civilization grows, their population will have constantly changing needs which must be met to maintain a good level of happiness. If a population becomes too unhappy, they will revolt. If a revolution is not dealt with effectively, it may, for example, end up in a breakaway state. The Supreme Ruler will then have the opportunity to regain progression by ensuring there is a good relationship between the original and the breakaway civilizations, for example, via trade deals and gifts. Maintaining strong and healthy relationships with other civilisations will provide huge benefits to a player’s happiness score resulting in increased revenues via the $REV token.
As players progress through the game, earning more $REV tokens, they will improve their earning potential and be encouraged to reinvest their earnings. This will reduce the amount of $REV in circulating supply, driving up the price of the $REV token for the benefit of the holders.
Players will experience natural disasters on their planet, such as volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, droughts and tsunamis, which can not only have the obvious negative impacts, but also have positive impacts, such as more fertile soil following a volcanic eruption. Players will also be rewarded with ‘miracles’ such as finding more sources of food or bumper harvests.
As communities are built, Supreme Rulers will be challenged by a range of political events, such as wars, revolutions, breakaway nations and crime. They will be measured by the happiness factor of their communities — it’s a simple equation: the happier the population, the better the progress made in the game and the higher the income potential. Throughout each stage of the game, players will be provided with increased opportunities and incentives to improve their happiness scores and earn more $REV tokens.
Re-Evolution Planet NFTs are available to mint on June 18th. Whitelist presale is at 6.30pm UTC with the public sale taking place at 7pm UTC.
